IT444C: Quiz Works Lesson Plan
Note: This activity plan is a good way to end a unit on nouns, it is meant for 4th grade level.
Preplanning Tasks:
Activity Goal
Students will practice the information they have learned about nouns: singular, plural, common, and proper by identifying them in sentences as a group.
Activity Rationale
As a part of student writing skills, students need to be able to identify the parts of a sentence. Since nouns are an important part of any sentence, it is necessary that students can identify and use them properly.
Materials and Logistics
Cut out sentences to give each group. Set up an overhead projector. Prepare overheads with the same sentences that are given to the students.
Materials and Equipment
1. Two transparencies with sentences on them (10 on each).
2. One transparency with rules for the activity on it.
3. Twenty individually cut out sentences with various forms of nouns in them.
4. Each sentence must contain one or more noun (singular, plural, common, or proper)
